We are currently seeking an experienced Inventory/Warehouse Coordinator for a well established manufacturing and distribution company located in South Central Edmonton.

This position will be responsible for a multitude of responsibilities that include the following:

  • Counts all store products and supplies; 
  • Analyzes sales records and compares them to physical inventory;
  • Reports and discrepancies to OPS manager;
  • Puts in orders for new supplies; 
  •  Locates and removes expired or defective product;
  • Packs up defective items for return (RGA), creates shipping labels, and mails items;
  • Works with OPS manager to brainstorm ways to reduce inventory discrepancy and possible theft or “shrinkage”; 
  •  Uses computerized inventory software QAD to record, track, and maintain all inventory related data; 
  •  Assists customers on the phone when necessary; 
  •  Retrieves items from the stock for customers/code 1 employees -when required;
  •  Accepts and signs for deliveries; 
  •  Unloads deliveries and stores them appropriately, use of forklift (exp an asset);
  •  Books trucking or courier services; 
  •  Replenishes stock (MRP reports) – work closely with purchasing dept;
  •  Adjusts inventory reports to account for new deliveries; 
  •  Assists providing customer service, DSM’s as well as external customers;
  •  Ensures that all stock on the floor is organized, properly stored, and in good condition; 
  • Strong eye to housekeeping/shop cleanliness.

  • 2-3 years of directly related experience working with inventory or warehouse environment;
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel;
  • Demonstrates proficiency in the use of QAD software would be a definite asset;
  • Possesses specific knowledge of company’s range of products and services;
  • Exhibits ability to interpret and explain inventory and sales reports;
  • Possesses physical strength necessary to unload and restock supplies. (when required);
  • Pays close attention to detail;
  • Demonstrates strong organizational skills; 
  • Exhibits ability to think creatively in order to devise best inventory control practices; 
  • Possesses a keen eye for organization; 
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal and customer service skills;
  • Works well with a team.
